Vinyl/Heat Transfer
What is Heat Transfer/Vinyl and how is it used?
Vinyl is a synthetic flexible plastic material. In our process it comes on a roll of several yards of material. On one side you will have a color of your choosing and on the back of that color you’ll have a heat activated adhesive.

This is a comparison with Vinyl Foil (left) and the screen print/glue method on the right.
The Vinyl method will last up to the lifetime of the shirt vs the glue/print option will last a few washes before it fades away. You can also see how the vinyl method has a lot more filled in compared to the print option which has specs here and there that are missing.
Vinyl can come in most single colors on your color palette but it’s real beauty is in foils, metallics, opals & printable vinyl.

Vinyl comes on a roll. We store these in a well temp’d room
Vinyl can be applied to synthetic materials, natural materials, cars, windows & metals.
Typical vinyl application for us involves shorts, jerseys (numbers), dri-fit materials, stickers, decals & applique.

The cutter will spool the roll of vinyl and cut the exact shapes/artwork that you need.
The process of using vinyl involves cutting the material with a cutter first.

Cropping out logo on Vinyl
Then we crop it out using a plotter. In this process we remove the excess material so that just the artwork we want is left.

Finally we use a heat press to apply the vinyl to the material we are using.
